Hey Craig! Thanks for your time today. Let's go back to the start, what was the initial inspiration behind launching Your Brand Cafe?

We started Your Brand Cafe in 2008 after a speaking with a friend in the coffee industry.

They expressed their frustration in finding ways for independent shops to compete with the larger chain coffeeshops popping up on every corner.

Customized cups and sleeves were available, but at minimums most shops couldn’t afford to purchase or store.

Having grown up in small business and manufacturing, we knew we could help.

By refurbishing some old equipment, we were able to begin printing sleeves one case at a time.

Fast-forward 14 years and we are producing millions of sleeves, cups, and accessories every month for an expanded customer base that includes bars, breweries, restaurants, and so much more, still in orders as small as one case.

It’s all about the customer and doing what we can to help their businesses grow.  

With smaller minimum orders, custom graphics can be utilized at every event you serve

There are other branding services out there, why did you decide to enter the market and what makes you different?

When we started Your Brand Cafe, there wasn’t anyone else in the market offering what we were offering.

Sure, there were cup printers if you wanted to order 50 cases of each size.

You could also find someone to print one case of sleeves, but it was extremely costly and not sustainable for local stores.

So, we worked backwards.

We asked what could our customers afford?

What type of branding were they looking for?

How do they order their supplies?

Then we worked to find suppliers and a printing method that would meet those needs and set up an easy online store to make ordering a breeze for those busy managers and owners.

It’s all about the customer and doing what we can to help their businesses grow.  

What have you enjoyed most about running your business? Any favorite milestones or steps of the journey so far?

One of our favorite parts about running our business is seeing all of the creativity and cleverness our customers possess.  

We see designs and brands from all over the world and it’s truly awe-inspiring to witness such originality and imagination!

What has been your biggest challenge in launching and running Your Brand Cafe? How did you overcome it?

Our biggest challenge when starting out was determining our customers wants and needs.

It was very important to us to meet our customers where they were, and that is still a driving force in everything we do to this day.

We were able to ascertain exactly what those wants and needs were by talking to our customers.

Having actual conversations with them and learning anything they were willing to share about their business, their struggles, and their dreams. We are dedicated to offering customer support that exceeds all others.

Over the past few years, we have added cutting-edge technology to our production floor, have improved all aspects of our online ordering systems, and have incorporated the best art development software available.

But no matter how many technological improvements we make, you will always speak to an actual representative every time you call, each email is answered by a real person, and there isn’t a bot in sight when chatting through our website.

Why? Because the personal connection with customers is what built our business and it is what keeps us going today.
