Hello, I'm Danielle S.
Aloha, my name is Danielle and I go by my last name- Shemesh, which means sun in Hebrew :) In my ideal life, I would continue traveling the world and enjoying all the beautiful cultures and wonders this world has to offer, or I would be a farmer and spend my time focused on sustainability and community. In real life I have found my way to pursue this dream through my work with Gazoz. I get to work with the community and spend time at farms sourcing organic fruits, flowers, and herbs. I build community by sharing Gazoz, a street vendor beverage from where I grew up in Israel. I studied anthropology at UH Manoa, and pursued a career in archaeology for nearly 10 years. Isolated at work, I felt a longing for gather and host, I concluded my love for anthropology was my love for people & culture. I found community and culture doing pop ups on the weekends at the farmers’ markets, where Gazoz had time to grow and evolve into what it is today. When I am not working, I love to travel, visit my family back home in Israel- my brother is a bee keeper and my sister in law makes and sells pottery- relaxing lifestyle and relaxing visits :) On island, I enjoy playing tennis, bodyboarding, beach with my dog, & planning my own wedding with my fiance Amber <3
